December 25
SAdly, Christmas is being spent on the couch with a fever and chills. This was a gift I received last night. Reading this is sadly the closest I'm getting to being creative.

October 5
First attempt at non-Haiku poetry. Not good. I didn't even really want to post it. I was obviously not in a good mood.

Haikus:
Small furry purr box
Sleeps and purrs at the same time
How do you do that?
Couch is magnetic
Often holds me here in place
It's just so comfy

August 10
Haiku
Feel like I am lost
Need to choose a direction
Think I am floundering
General malaise
Got to get out of the house
Gotta clear my head
Trying to have faith
The universe is testing
Things will get better
It's been a rough few weeks. Between being sick myself and dealing with two sick kittens I've been really struggling. I know things will get better. I like that to happen sooner rather than later.
August 3
More fun with Haiku. They read:
Sick little kittens
Just want them to get better
Purring on my lap
Tired tired done
Desperate to unload some stress
Need to restore health
Cicadas are loud
To me they serve no purpose
A feast for the birds

June 27
More haikus. They're mostly about being tired. I'm hoping to catch up on sleep this weekend.
1. Too tired today
The stress has caught up with me
Can I take a nap?
2. Tired of the rain
Can we please have the sun back
The heat you can keep
3. Give me a blanket
A quiet dark place to rest
Teachers need naps too
June 18
Haiku time again. They are as follows:
1. Craziness abounds
Preschool is not for sissies
They are funny though
2. Bad throbbing headache
They won't stop calling my name
I still love my job
3. Oh blessed nap time
Some days much too slowly comes
I long for quiet
