December 22

They're good at looking sad aren't they.  Then you look up and get death from above.

December 14

Snow!  I haven't had much of a chance to take picture in the snow this year.  I like these the best.  There were several that we ok, but these stood out to me.

December 5

I spent the evening at Lincoln Park Zoo's Zoolights Festival.  More low light photography.  Lots of blurry images.  But among those, I think these came out well.

December 4

Low light photography is so tricky.  One false breath and all you get is blur.

December 3

It's cold and I'm tired so I am turning my camera on my cats.  It takes an annoying amount of shots to catch one or two good photos.

November 9 - 16

November 9th to the 16th I was in Reggio Emilia, Italy for a work conference.  I brought sketch books and pencils and was ready to go.  Then I saw all the architecture and all bets were off.  I did not have a lot of free time, but when I did I was never without my camera.  I took something like 300 pictures.  The link has many of my favorites.

November 4

I took several "fall" pictures today.  Most of them did not turn out very well.  These are the best.

October 29

The flowers are fading.  Soon there won't be any more until spring.

October 21

A trip to Lincoln  Park Zoo with my Aunt and and my Sister who is in from Washington State.  I was not impressed with most of my animal photos.  I felt like I had taken them a hundred times before.  But these two and the two from the green house I like and think they came out pretty well.

October 18

More mums in the park.  These were not in full bloom when planted.  Now they're fabulous.

September 14

Just when I was saying how uninspired I was, a neighbor came and planted a bunch of mums at the park.

September 13

There aren't many flowers let, and even good foliage is getting harder to come by.  There aren't many colorful leaves yet so I haven't been feeling as inspired by my surroundings of late.

September 11

I tried taking lots of photos of the kittens today, but these are the only  ones that turned out because these were the only ones that they held still long enough for.

September 7

I spent my Birthday at the Chicago Botanic Garden with family.  It is probably my favorite place to go and my favorite place to take pictures.  There are many shots I like.  The rest of them can be found here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/101523031@N07/sets/72157638219394953/

September 1

I spent the day at the Bristol Renaissance Faire with some good friends.  I haven't focused on taking photos there in a while.  These are the best of the lot.  The last one is of my friend's little girl who had the best reaction to a horse pooping at a joust ever.

August 21

I found a garden!  It's in the Uptown neighborhood and it was a random find while killing time before a training.  I was so happy to seen bright flowers again.

August 19

There are not many flowers left and I am missing them.  These were at a park, but the pickings were still pretty slim.

August 8

Through food poisoning a part of the workshop I was at was to go looking for shadows.  This was the only one of note I found before getting sick and having to go back.

August 5

This is the only shot from today that actually came out.  I think my personal focus was a bit off.  I didn't care for framing or exposure on any of them.

July 29

My loves.  Adele and Houdini. They're a little sick, but hopefully on the mend now.  It was a little easier getting pictures with my big camera.
